Etienne was an entrepreneur before he was old enough to earn an allowance, selling colorful rocks as paperweights on the road outside his house. The following year he switched to mowing lawns, selling products from catalogs, and canine obedience training. Before he finished college he partnered with a friend to start his first “real” business, a web/print design company. After selling his interest in that business to his partner, Etienne spent several years in corporate accounting for private middle-market companies before moving into public accounting to get closer to the action.
Today, Etienne is a Certified Public Accountant and Senior Manager at Next Exit Advisors where he helps small business and middle market entrepreneurs answer the following questions: How do I sell my business, buy a business, or grow my business? Next Exit Advisors offers outsourced CFO services, financial modeling, capital raising and debt restructuring, and other high level accounting and finance services in addition to traditional tax preparation and bookkeeping. The Next Exit team has helped to found and grow dozens of companies.
Etienne serves on the board of directors and selection committee for Peak Venture Group, a non-profit organization committed to mentoring entrepreneurs and connecting them with investors. He also serves as co-host for the PVG Pitch Night, board member for Nick & Friends Sarcoma Foundation, and on the boards of multiple startup companies.
Etienne holds a B.S. in Computer Science, B.S. in Accounting, and Certificates in Business Information Systems and in Accounting Information Systems.
